Course Description:

The Doula Training Program offers comprehensive education and support for individuals aspiring to become professional doulas. • Comprehend the role and responsibilities of a doula in providing emotional, informational, and physical support during pregnancy and labor.
• Explore ethical considerations and adhere to professional standards in doula practice.
• Gain a detailed overview of pregnancy and labor stages, identifying signs of labor and supporting women effectively through each stage of labor and delivery.
• Learn pain relief positions, breathing techniques, relaxation exercises, massage, and touch therapies to provide comfort and support during labor.
• Develop strategies to support women during complications and medical interventions, advocating for birthing women’s preferences effectively.
• Develop excellent communication skills with expectant mothers and families, providing continuous emotional support and building trustful relationships.
• Provide essential support during the postpartum period, including breastfeeding initiation, newborn care, and recognizing signs of postpartum mood disorders
• Participate in simulated scenarios and role-play exercises, honing practical skills, and integrating knowledge to develop effective doula-client relationships.
